Side pocket zips fail very easily and can't be repaired as they are welded.

ConsNo
Proswaterproof, easy to use, extremely robust
Fast shipping to Germany, I had the fabric model a few years before, this had even survived a rollover from a small truck without prejudice, I had not hung the bag properly. During the journey you hardly notice his luggage, even on bumpy paths it hangs stable behind the saddle. Great product. Thanks.

Absolutely brilliant piece of kit.
As previous reviews have stated it does require quite a bit of seatpost space, but that issue aside, bulletproof construction, does not shift once in situ, even on the woody and rocky parts of my commute. SJS service first rate as well, dispatched and delivered up to North East Scotland within 3 days of the order being placed

ConsRequires quite a bit of space.
ProsSolid, well made. Loads of space
The bag seems really well made and the SQR-block feels like a good bit of kit.
Unfortunately it doesn't fit on my bike - a medium Genesis Vagabond with a Brooks Flyer saddle.

ConsNo major flaws that I can see
ProsBone dry. Good expansion. Usual superb Carradice quality
Great bag. Keeps kit dry, plenty of expansion.
Only concern may be if you run greater than 21mm setback on your seatpost you may catch your legs when pedalling.
But I suppose that will also depend on your bikes geometry as well as your pedalling bio dynamics.
Apart from this I cant fault the bag. Good size, clamp easy to mount and use too.
All the fittings you need are included.
I mainly use this for commuting and fit in a full change of clothes and my lunch as well as bad weatger emergency filets etc. There is ample room.
My best friend does European trips and says he is going to order one for his next trip.

ProsNot bulky, waterproof, aerodynamic
I've used this for commuting for 4 months now. Simply there is no other bag that fits the bill. I have used backpacks for years, but you end up sweaty and carrying a weight across your shoulders. I have used panniers, but when you want a fast commute to work, or want to a few laps of the park they can be bulky and the weight is to one side. This bag is the answer. Waterproof, fairly aerodynamic sitting behind you. I have attached it to a carbon seat post, using two layers of inner tube, works great. Sways some what when standing on the pedals, but you get use to it.

Is the uplift bar removable from the bag
By
19 Dec 2019
I understand that this bag can be used across different bikes using another SQR block, but can the uplift part be detached from the bag for use with other Carradice bags? cheers
Yes, the SQR Mount simply slides in and out!

What is the clearance needed between seat and wheel?

And where do I measure this from?
Can I return if it doesn’t fit?
You will need roughly 30cm from saddle to tyre.
Yes, return for refund / exchange no problem as long as in original condition / packaging.

Is the SQR system compatible with aero seat posts?
By
26 Mar 2019
Hi
Thank you for your enquiry, unfortunately the SQR system requires a round seatpost for fitting, it will not work with an aero seatpost.

My folding bike has a large diameter seatpost.

Hi, is it possible for you to supply the seatpost quick release (SQR) fitting with large bands instead of the standard?
We would need to know specifically how big, 31.6mm would be fine for example.

thanks - 15/10/18
can it contain

I like the bag, but difficult to estimate if it can be use to commute with:
- 1 laptop 22,5cm width
- 1 pair of shoes,
- 1waterproof pants
-1 shirt for my change
- basic repair toolset

thanks
Hi there,

If you slid the laptop in diagonally, with a shoe either side, I would suggest this would be snug, but should fit.

Thanks
Will A Macbook Air 13" Fit In Carradry Sqr Bag?
By
11 Jan 2017
Hi,

Can you please confirm whether a MacBook Air 13" (dimensions 32.5cm x 23cm) will fit in the CarraDry bag?

Specs state the bag is 26cm wide including side pockets. Can you please supply width of main compartment not including side pockets?

Thanks,

Rob
Hi,

Your MacBook Air should just be able to fit within this bag, the length is not an issue, but the width when the sides are relaxed (not including the pockets) is 23cm externally, but there is a slight bit of stretch which should allow for you to fit 23cm internally.

Thanks.

I have seatpost with diameter of 31,6 mm. I would like to know that is it possible to use this bag with that diameter seatpost.

Best regards,

Hannu
Hi,

The seatpost fitting supplied with this bag will indeed be compatible with your 31.6mm seatpost.

Thanks.
