Brush off any excess dirt or clean using cold water. Place tin in hot water to soften the wax, apply with a clean cotton cloth, smooth over surface paying attention to seams

ProsEasy to use

Reproofed my Carradice lowsaddle longflap. Went on easily having warmed the tin as per the instructions, followed by a hair dryer to smooth out. I'm sure I didn't need to buy Carradice wax but I needed a few other bits at the time, so made a joint order

This stuff works. Easy enough to apply and gives the material a new lease of life as far as waterproofing goes.

I recommend this product

The "stuck on label" guidance on the tub was good and I enjoyed using the hairdryer to soak the proofing into the fabric. I only ordered one tub which does not seem to be enough for two 40 litre Carradice panniers.. I should have ordered three tubs I think ? Quantity guidance when buying would be useful in any event.
