Good piece of kit

ProsIt works well. It also helps lift carrier stays above V brake making servicing easier.

Functions very well at intended purpose. As another reviewer wrote, the bolt is a bit short but perhaps that's because it's is not the pivoted nut type or did manufacturer simply run out of longer ones? Only a guess.

ConsClamp bolt is a bit short, it works OK but I replaced it with a longer bolt to maximise the clamping

Consno max loading indication

Prosinstant rack mount, single piece construction, simple

Casted and machined to size, by virtue, such construction improve product strength and reduce weakness points.

This is a great piece of accessory that can instantly give you a rack mounting eye.

The only regret is that manufacturer does not provide max loading test result. It will difficult to verify the safety of carrying a 150 lbs pillion.

M Wave Seat Clamp For Carrier

The seat post on my bike is 30.9mm and the tube it slides in to is around 34mm and I am not sure which size of clamp to buy, can you help on selecting the right size ?

Hi,

Normally if the seatpost diameter is 30.9mm then the seat tube where the clamp fits to will be 34.9mm. If this is what yours measures then you can fit the larger size clamp in place of your current seat collar. If yours is a different size, then you will need to go for the smaller size and fit it directly to your seatpost with a shim to account for the difference in size.
