Compressed length of M & L pumps?
By
30 Aug 2023
Two bikes - TT spaces for pump are 54cm, & 53cm. What are compressed lengths of the M & L pumps? Just wondering which will be best - potentially one pump for both bikes.
Hello & thank you for your enquiry.
M for frame sizes between 49 - 54cm - (actual pump size 42 - 47.5cm) - compressed to expanded.
Kind regards, pc 31/8/23.
Topeak Master Blaster L or XL for a 52cm top tube?
By
20 May 2023
I'm looking to buy the Topeak Master Blaster frame pump but am inbetween sizes. My bike is a 58 frame with a top tube of 52cm. Shall I order a L or XL? Thanks.
Looking at the sizing guidelines the large pump will fit your requirements slightly better, both will fit your frame though. SK 22/05/23
My frame size is 54cm. Should I go with the medium or large? (Under top tube is 51cm)

Yes, it does, there is provision for location into pump pegs.

Hello, What size do I need. inner head tube to seat tube is 46cm
By
15 Jul 2020
You will need a Medium, as the pump expands to fit the frame, thus a 46cm long space means the M for frame sizes between 49 - 54cm - (actual pump size 42 - 47.5cm) will fit.

Hello. I have an old bike with 2 pump pegs on the seat tube with 46.5 cm between the tips of the pegs . Which is the correct size of pump please? Thanks
Hi,

As your frame has a distance of 46.5cm between the pump pegs it is the medium sized pump that you need.

Thanks.
Frame Pump For Thorn Mercury 610L
By

Can you recommend a pump to fit this frame
Presta valve. Do not like Mini pumps.

Regards,
Jim Palmer
Hi,

As there are no pump pegs on your bike you'll need to go for a pump that can work without pegs like this Topeak pump. You'll need the XL size to fit the top tube on your bike.

Thanks.
Best Frame Pump For Thorn Discovery Tandem?
By
07 Mar 2016
The bike just has one pump peg, what's the pump you'd recommend ? It's about 50 cm to frame angle. My mini pump struggles to get over 50 psi. Graham
Hi,

The frame pump we recommend is the Zefal HPX (SJSC part number 37684) these are designed to fit to a single peg and are what we have fitted to our bikes for a large number of years.

Thanks.
Topeak Road Masterblaster™ Still Confused By Sizing!
By
13 Nov 2015
Looking at the Topeak, to put under my top tube (49cm gap), am I correct in going for the large (47 to 52.5cm)?
Hi,

Unfortunately for some reason Topeak bases its sizing on the frames full size rather than any of the lengths relevant to where you are going to fit a pump. You are correct though for your frame you would need the large size.

Thanks.
Which Frame Pumps Will Fit A 57Cm Frame (50 Cm Opening)?
By
09 Mar 2015
Sorry but I'm totally confused since some descrptions (Zefal) refer to the pump length (ok got that) others refer to frame size (understand that but then the topeak shows illustrations highlighting the top tube measurement which is different to those given in the size list and others are ambiguous. Iin the case of the Silca I assume its frame size but for a sloping tube compact. Is it a ploy to make us all buy the Park Tool?

I think Topeak Large/Zefal size 3 and of course Park Tool are my options but I'd like to be sure since returns are a pain. I know its a tiny thing and you have loads more to do and information comes from manufacturers but using a consistent measurement ie pump actual size would be a real help . .. .... help!!
Hi,

Any of the 3 options you have suggested would be suitable. The Silca, Zefal and Park Tool all refer to opening size (actual pump length) where as the Topeak is referring to full frame size and the pictures showing the top tube measurements are the actual size of each size of pump. I will update the sizes on the Topeak so all the pumps show the actual length of the pumps in the sizing to help choose the correct size.

Thanks.
