I recommend this product
Seems quality, just had a spin around the block so far.
However, the hub flange is wider / spoke holes different that when I changed the spokes were further out and rubber on the discs calliper.
Was running a 160mm rotor, upgraded to 180mm and have enough clearance.
On further research It’s not that uncommon, just bear in mind
reliable at 3 years so far

Consnot user serviceable.
ProsValue. Unnoticeable resistance
I have ridden this hub on my audax bike without any issues for the past 3 years. My mother rides hers 14miles a day for the past 2 years without issue too. A friend has ridden over 20,000 miles on his including the Turin Nice Rally and thus far has not had any issues. For the price I'd buy another. Servicing can be bought on the SP website for about £25 plus postage to Taiwan but I've yet to try that.

Hi, yes the power output from the dynamo is sufficient. However you will need a charging device between the hub and the phone to connect your phone to the hub. Thanks.
How To Service Sp Pd-8 Hub Dynamo Bearings?
By
14 Aug 2016
I bought a front wheel with a SP PD-8 dynamo back in Jan 13 (WEB-7085303). The hub has begun to squeal under load and on inspection the hub feels sticky and in need of a service. No instructions and SP say not user serviceable! Can you help? The rim has years left in it. I would have hoped that the hub outlasts the rim not the other way around.

Thanks

Simon
Hi,

I'm afraid there is nothing we can do to help, we are also unable to perform any servicing on these hubs. If the hub bearings had failed within warranty then we could have got it sent back for repair but out of warranty there is nothing we can do to help I'm afraid.

Thanks.
