Can I use this on the AW 3speed model from 1998?
By

Good afternoon.
Could you please advise if this is the correct axle for the aforementioned hub, to fit a 126mm OLD frame?

On the specs in sturmey archer's site it says there is two axle variants for the AW modell, 163mm (for OLD 117mm) and 175mm (for 127mm OLD) (as per specs pdf in http://www.sturmey-archer.com/en/products/detail/aw) but on the reffered part list it states axle of 163 and 148mm.

Perhaps the axle lenght stated in the AW modells is the size of the axle with the guide and axle nut?

Would it then be right to assume that this axle of 163mm was the correct one to fit my 126mm OLD frame?
Thank you in advance for your time
Hi, we are unable to confirm this and suggest contacting the manufacture directly.

Will this replace an axle in an AB hub
By

Hello, I have a worn axle (threads stripped on drive side) on an approx 1980's AB hub. 3 speed with 90mm drum brake.
Can I reassemble the "guts" internals of the gearbox onto this axle? If not this axle can you direct me to the correct one.
Also if I were to just buy a new internal assembly do I require HSX120 or HSX143?
Are you also able to explain the difference between these two assemblies? Is the overall length slightly different?
Thank you
Should do, it's the one shown here (copy and paste): http://www.sturmey-archerheritage.com/images/photos/pic-160.jpg RT 10/12/19 for the internal you need HSX120, it's the shortened version of HSX143 to accommodate the hub brake element within the space. RT 10/12/19
