Details
Similar to Cannondale force 40. Sometimes refered to as a bell crank, fits to fork crown or rear bridge hole, V shaped alloy swinging block, one side has a connecting cable with quick release flat, the other stops your outer cable and allows inner cable to pass through.

Though the manufacturer claims they enhance the power of your brakes we believe the merits of this item are that there is no need for outer cable stops making fitting canti's to modern touring/cyclecross frames a breeze.
They are fiddly to set up but well worth it.

NOTE: Does not include brake or forks

I recommend this product
Doesn't require additional cable hanger. Allows more of the inner brake cable to be sheathed. Allows easier fitting of front light. Very fiddly to setup.

ConsBit pricey but what the heck!
ProsStyle, Strength, Positive Braking
Definitely smoother and stronger braking. If, no hanger, for any reason, these gadgets are the answer and, they look the part as well, with (almost italian) style.

Can I fit mudguards with this product installed?

This totally depends on your fork, and which mudguard you wish to fit.
Reversing the bellcrank
By
29 May 2020
One of your answers states that the bellcrank can be reversed to suit cable routing. That cannot work as the left and right elements of the cantilever brake are different. Or am I just not getting it. As far as I can see, Using one of these on the front would create a tortuous "S" in the cable.
You can reverse it, but of course this will be dependant on the brake caliper as to whether this works.

Would This Fit On A Tandem Front Fork Crown?
By
25 Jan 2016
What's the exposed length of the bolt on the tektro swinger? I've had difficulty fitting other items to the fork crown on this tandem as you need to be able to 'bury' 3.7 cm within the fork, and still have enough thread left to secure it properly at the back of the forks. This really means at least 4.2 cm is needed.
Hi,

I have measure this bolt and it appears to have 42mm of usable space so should suit for use on your tandem fork.

Thanks.
Can A Light Bracket Be Attached To The Hanger?

Either in front or wedged between the serrated washers?
You can not mount a light because of the movement as the brakes are applied.
Tektro Power Hanger For Cantilevers
By
06 Aug 2015
This is shown as being used at the front, but the rear is often hard to set up with a good outer cable lineup for cantilevers. Can this be used (maybe with a shorter bolt) at the rear? Also, can it be reversed for a cable from the other side of the frame?
Hi, this item fits to the front fork crown or rear bridge hole so yes it can be used on the front or rear if required. Also you can change the black v-piece around if you need the cable to run the other side. Regards
Setup: Balancing The Pull On Both Sides
By

Hi there,

Just received these and the brake levers from you guys, thanks! Trying to set it up now.

My set up is Origin8 canti levers, Tektro power hanger, Onyx like brakes.

No matter how I set it up, the arm where the brake cable is attached pulls more than the short cable.

Please advise.

cheers!
Hi,

Unfortunately with these items, there is no trick to setting them up, they just require a lot of fiddling and fettling to get them set up as you would like them, so it is just a case of keep trying I'm afraid.

Thanks.
