SJS delivery was very rapid: full marks!

For most of my cycling life I felt that having a rearview mirror was really cissy. They belonged on those situpandbeg bikes with front dynohubs that prissy girls had in the late fifties and early sixties.

And surely they add drag.

How wrong I was.

Here on potholed country lanes strewn with large (and sharp) flints, gravel skidpans and horseshit, and attacked from either side by nettles and brambles, you need to keep your wits about you and your eyes on the road and hedges ahead. Which means that you can sometimes be caught out by that 4wheeled (and probably 4wheeleddrive) thing creeping up on you from behind. I've found that a rearview mirror is a great help.

And was I really serious about drag? How fast did I think I was likely to go?

But I started with a real cheapo job and found that the distortion of the plastic mirror coupled with the vibration of the bike meant that the image was difficult to interpret and could even be rather disturbing.

Obviously the Mirrycle can do nothing about the vibration, but its glass mirror gives a very 'clean' image that is *much* better for alerting you to the presence of SOMETHING BEHIND YOU.

It is definitely worth 3 times as much as that cheapo job

As I said in November 2010, the best cycle mirror on the market. Easy to fit. All of my four bikes have one now! I will only need another if I buy another bike,,
Great Accessory!

ProsWell made, easy to fit
A good fit in my bike's handlebar and easy to adjust the mirror's position and angle in use. I've also found the ease of folding it out of the way when not needed and readjusting for use again is very good and it is not susceptible to vibration.

Consdoesn't fold away,
Prosgood view, solid fit, well made
Fits well into end of handlebars and is very firm. Field of view excellent. I have fitted it to my Birdy City Folding bike as I fold this infrequently and though the mirror sticks out a little when bike is folded I can either put up with it, or fold the mirror out of adjustment. Frequent folding would not be good though.
