Details
The all-new Mirrycle Road Mirror was developed exclusively to fit Shimano STI shifter/brake levers while allowing the continued comfortable use of the lever. With a minimum of included parts, the Road Mirror is ingeniously engineered to fit almost all the different STI levers. A lot of emphasis has been placed on the design of the Mirrycle Road Mirror so it blends elegantly with today's bicycle components.

Note: This mirror will not fit 2010 and later Shimano STI Brake / Shift levers

Brought this item as I'm off to Rwanda for some winter training and in Africa it is important to see what's approaching from behind.
Came with a 'bag of bits' and instructions. Looks complicated to assemble, but the instructions are easy to follow. Had it all put together in about 10 minutes. No shims needed for my levers. Fitted like a glove.
Needed to increase tension as joint was moving the mirror out of alignment, but easy to do.
Vision not perfect, but on a non suspension cycle with high tire pressures, I wouldn't expect it to be crystal clear.
Overall, very pleased with the product.

I already have a mirricycle on my straight barred tourer with which I'm very happy so buying this one for drops made sense. I have 2012 Tiagra levers so the main shock was the packet emblazoned with warnings that the mirror wouldn't fit Shimano STI levers later than 2010. I visited the mirricycle web site which suggeted it would be OK so gave it a go. The upshot is that it fits but I can't fully replace the rubber hood on top of the lever which isn't great. In use the image is OK but subject to a lot of vibration, I guess the result of a full carbon frame rather than the Reynolds 531 of my tourer. Its better than nothing and heaps better than the previous helmet mounted mirror I tried.

There is nothing else out there this good for STI levers. Just broke my last one when I bashed it whilst boarding a train but found it so useful that I ordered the replacement immediately. I have had no trouble with vibration. It can be folded easily back if you need to pass through narrow gaps such as those metal anti motor bike obstacles that you often meet on cycle tracks.

This mirror fitted easily onto my STI shifters even though the model number was not amongst those listed. It will fit either side and the mirror is fairly close to the eyeline, certainly a lot better than a bar end fitting mirror would be on my drop handle bars. The construction allows the mirror to be adjusted by hand without the need for tools once it has been initially fitted so this means it can be adjusted whilst riding.

“imho this is the best, and possibly only, real mirror solution for sti levers. Setup is pretty straightforward. Just make sure you get the right tension on the arm screw, sufficient that it doesn't move due to vibration, but not so tight that it would cause something to break if inadvertently bashed against a wall or if the bike fell over.”

Does the Mirrycle Road Mirror for STI levers fit Virsa VRS8 lever for Alfine 8 hub gears
SJS Customer Service:
Hi,

I'm afraid it does not fit the Virsa levers, it has been solely designed for Shimano levers which have a different shape inside which allows for a completely unique fixing point.

Thanks.
