Handlebar adapter that saves space on your bars by practically creating space for your accessories such as computers and lights etc. by extending over the un-unsed space above the stem. Suitable for handlebars with diameter of 25.4 mm and 31.8 mm.

Accessory bar diameter is 22.2mm

Neat mount, plenty of options

ConsMount bar is a bit short, but can be swapped for a chunk of handlebar!

ProsLightweight, flexible (fitting options), stiff body, well made.

I needed a method of mounting a 22mm e-bike control and throttle with 31mm handlebars. This almost solved it but I wanted to have the bar of the mount tucked back underneath the stem with the controls on the left and throttle on the right. The supplied bar was just too short so I swapped it for the longer bar from a Space Grip. Sorted!

Neat and easy to fit.

ConsCannot tighten my light bracket onto it

ProsNeat and easy to fit

I wanted this so I could mount a light as well as using my bar bag. The space bar fits fine on my handlebars but my Exposure light bracket doesnt seem to fit really tightly onto the space bar. I cannot tighten it and it moves very slightly instead of being really tight. I have got the smaller diameter bracket as my handlebars are 25.4 dia. Maybe I am being a bit too finicky but I don't want the light to fall off!

Well made, and does the job securely. (I was really looking for a bar which could be mounted vertically or something with a swivel head. Couldn't find anything.)

Consexpensive

Prossolid, good quality, simple, useful

Much better that the plastic SJS version. This metal version is solid and dependable. Your lights don't wobble and slip about on it as tey do with the plastic one.

Well worth the extra money. Recommended.

Yes, 22.2mm diameter is the normal size for the grip area - this is a lightweight mount for lights / computers - it may move under shifting.

I have seen plastic ones that deform when you try and attach lights or computers. Aly ones are better.

How high does this adaptor stand above your cycle's handlebar? That is, what's the distance between handlebar and the mount post of this device?

What Is The Width Of The Clamp?

ie how much free space do I need on my bars to fit this. I have crosstop levers so space is a premium.

Hi,

If you're using it with the shims for 25.4mm bars then it sits at 15mm wide. If you are not using the shims so on 31.8mm bars then it sits at only 10.5mm wide.
