I recommend this product
I cycled from Colombia to Argentina with one of these attached to my bike - it was a life saver. I didn't find the field of vision a problem at all - it was just great to have advance notice of what was coming up behind. It's lightweight, fixes (and unfixes) easily. I found it invaluable.
Far Too Convex

ConsFar too convex. Grossly distorts rearwards vision.
ProsGood fixing.
As others have said the fixing is good and better than other similar types of mirror I have tried.
But its major problem, and it is very major, is that it far far too convex. Combined with the small size of the mirror this grossly distorts rearwards vision. You simply do not see see vehicles behind you until they are VERY close. In the rain the mirror is worse than useless.
In my opinion this mirror is potentially dangerous and should not be stocked by SJSC.

ConsSmall, insufficient image clarity
ProsEasy to adjust
The mounting is simple and effective for mounting on bars but not much else in my estimation. For example it wont attach to the brake hoods satisfactorily. Even after tightening the screws it swiveled around a bit when I hit bumps but was easy to readjust. Maybe its me but I had a bit of difficulty seeing images clearly in the lens. The lens is small and convex and so gives a distorted image that I have trouble interpreting without directing my gaze for a prolonged period. One simply wants to glance in a mirror to attain the information they need. But a glance in this one didn't prove particularly useful to me.

Conslocking strap can slip
Proscheap, durable, easy to adjust, good quality
I've tried many different types of mirrors.....Ortlieb, Blackburn and the M Wave mirror is, by far, THE BEST of the bunch. The key reason is that the mirror swivels on 2 axis for easy adjustment and it (unlike Orlieb or Blackburn) does not snap when pressure is put on the mirror via a knock or a fall. The assemble simply rotates and the mirror survives. In addition, the M Wave is lighter and cheaper than other quality mirrors. The mirror, though small, is easy to use and see oncoming traffic.

The only issue is that one side of the strapping rubber would slip out. This was easily fixed with a small plastic tie.
