Surly made these handy plates for use with Long Haul or Disc Trucker frames, and only their Long Haul and Disc Trucker frames! They are to be used with a bicycle kickstand to keep your bicycle upright while not moving. . . As if by magic.
The plates consist of two halves that, when clamped on your frame in conjuction with a kickstand, protect your chainstays from hamfisting by sandwiching the frame between the plates.

what are the dimensions please - ie the width between them?

Centre to centre, the carrow end is 35mm and the wide end is 55mm SK17/10/23
What is a suitable kickstand to go with this plate? And will it fit a LHT from 2009?

Thank you for your enquiry. As far as we are aware it fits all LHT, if you have the 700c version then you should be able to use our item 25938, if its 26 inch wheels then our item 25937.

Hello,
I’m interested to know if you have ever fitted the Surly Kickstand Plates to the chainstays of another brand of bike? If not, is there any reason why they could not be fitted to a different brand assuming the angles matched?

SJS Customer Service:
We have never fitted these to non Surly bikes- in theory, if they fit your bike then they should work. Just check with your frame manufacturer to check if the use of this product compromises your warranty.
