Questions & Answers (1)
Can I use this Shimano BB
By
28 Sep 2017
I bought a early 1970s Legnano Italian built race frame with the gear cables running above the BB shell. Would this BB fit okay as well as not totally sure length wise for the double chainset. Had fancied a treble but read that the modern day made treble chainsets only really align up with a minimum 8 sprockets?
Hi,

Assuming your frame does have an Italian thread then this bottom bracket should fit okay. The length required will vary from chainset to chainset and the chainline you're looking to achieve. The same goes if you run a triple as long as you have the clearance at the frame to run a shorter length axle you should be able to keep the required chainline.

Thanks.
