ProsBetter than the originals
Excellent fit on my Shimano 600 Arabesque. They're also on my old Dura Ace.
Fit like a glove.
Used hairspray on the lever, slid on in seconds. And a few seconds later they're firmly on.

Good fit on Shimano levers (BR 2304). Took a while to work out how to wrestle them on - some silicone spray and warming them up helped. Should perform and last well, and a good price to finish the look and feel of the units.

ConsYou have to wrestle them on a bit!.
ProsGreat value, hopefully durable
These fit very well on retro Campagnolo Record levers or similar such as Suntour Superbe, Modolo, 80's Shimano 600 etc. They are synthetic rubber I believe so should be more durable than the originals ( I have some expensive repro hoods which are proving less than durable too!) Handed left and right with a bit of shaping so comfortable as well.

ConsWrong application
ProsExcellent quality
The Dia-Compe hoods are pliable and cleanly molded without any flash. I bought them to use on old style Weinmann 144/161 (QR) levers such as found with Weinmann centerpull brakes. The hoods go on but do not fit properly being loose around the cable entry and not fully covering the lever body. Basically, a good product suitable for Gran Compe, Campy or Modolo levers but the wrong choice for my application.

Nice replacement for the original covers that came with my ancient Shimano Dura Ace

Had to wrestle them a bit to get them to fit, but they look better than the originals!

The only replacement hoods I've found that fit my old Dura-Ace 7200 EX brake levers properly. Slightly anatomical shaping makes them a very comfortable grip.

These fitted my old Modolo Mach 1 aero levers quite well with only a slight impingement between the lower cover and the back of the brake lever, but nothing you notice in use.

ProsGood fit, well made, grippy
These fit my vintage Shimano Golden Arrow levers like a glove and very nice they are too!

These Shimano levers were a rip off of the Nuovo record levers and the DiaCompes were too! so these hoods fit nicely. Good product, well finished with slight ergo moulding

Prosgood replacement
bought to replace campag 1984 super record hoods, they are a good fit,and better quality than original campag.you will have to ease them gently past the sharp corners of campag levers.if you are die hard campag, look carefully at original hoods(they were not a perfect fit either!)if you can get modolo 919,i have heard they me be a better fit.
Great!

I bought an old ten speed recently and the lever hoods were dry.
I looked everywhere to replace them and finally found them here, they work fine with the shimano break handles i have and that made me really happy. It seems hard to find replacements for lever hoods.

Ordered these hoods to a quite old Claud Butler that needed a bit upgrading. Except actually changing the hoods, the new ones fitted perfectly well and are a nice change. Love riding around upright when holding on to the hoods. Handy and goodlooking!

Hi I have a pair of shimano 600 BL-6208 levers and was wondering which of your hoods is the best match?

Regards

Fraser
Hi,

Unfortunately due to the age of your levers we have now way of knowing which replacement hoods would provide the best fit, all we can recommend is choosing the set that best visually match your current levers.

Thanks.
