Hope EVO Master Cylinder Complete, Left Hand, Black

The Hope EVO Master Cylinder is a complete left-hand brake-lever assembly designed to deliver improved control, a firmer bite point and the smooth, progressive modulation for which Hope brakes are renowned.

Developed as an evolution of the popular Tech 4 design, the EVO master cylinder uses an updated cam and piston mechanism to reduce unwanted free lever travel while maintaining excellent modulation through the braking zone. The lever blade features a more pronounced hook and a dimpled surface, providing secure finger placement and dependable grip in wet or cold conditions.

A roller-bearing main pivot and twin piston guide bushes help the lever operate smoothly and consistently. Tool-free reach and bite-point adjustments allow the lever position and response to be personalised without workshop tools.

Maintenance has also been simplified through a dedicated bleed port in the master-cylinder body, allowing the brake to be bled without removing the reservoir lid. Manufactured in Hope’s Barnoldswick factory, this complete assembly is suitable as a replacement for a damaged EVO lever or as part of a compatible brake upgrade.

Compatibility Note:
Use only DOT 5.1 or DOT 4 brake fluid. This master cylinder must not be filled with mineral oil. Hope’s EVO instructions show compatibility with the X2, TR4, GR4 and Trial Zone calipers; compatibility should be checked against Hope’s master-cylinder and caliper chart before combining it with an older Hope caliper.
