The Shimano Deore BL-M6200 is a dependable left-hand hydraulic disc-brake lever designed to deliver powerful, predictable braking at an accessible price point. Its durable aluminium two-finger lever and ergonomic shape provide comfortable control for trail, cross-country and everyday mountain biking.

Shimano’s SERVO WAVE technology moves the pads quickly towards the rotor during the initial lever pull before progressively increasing braking power. This provides fast engagement together with the modulation needed to control braking on loose, steep or technical terrain.

The BL-M6200 is I-Spec EV compatible, allowing a suitable Shimano shifter or control to be mounted directly to the brake-lever clamp. Combined with hose routing that runs parallel to the handlebar, this creates a clean and uncluttered cockpit.

The lever can be paired with either the lightweight BR-M6200 two-piston caliper or the more powerful BR-M6220 four-piston caliper, allowing the braking system to be tailored to the rider and terrain. Shimano Low Viscosity Oil helps maintain a consistent braking feel across a wide range of operating temperatures.

Compatibility Note:
The BL-M6200 is designed for Shimano Low Viscosity Oil and should not be filled or mixed with Shimano’s previous mineral oil, DOT fluid or another manufacturer’s brake fluid. It is I-Spec EV compatible but is not directly compatible with older I-Spec II or I-Spec B shifters. Shimano recommends pairing the lever with either the BR-M6200 two-piston or BR-M6220 four-piston caliper.
