The Shimano Deore XT BL-M8200 hydraulic brake lever combines powerful braking with refined ergonomics and precise modulation, giving trail and enduro riders dependable control across technical terrain.

Its revised lever shape features a closer pivot point that follows the natural movement of the rider’s finger. This creates a comfortable, intuitive pull while Shimano’s redesigned SERVO WAVE mechanism delivers rapid pad engagement followed by progressive, easily controlled braking power.

Tool-free reach adjustment allows the lever position to be quickly tailored to different hand sizes and riding preferences, while free-stroke adjustment provides further control over lever feel. The open clamp design simplifies installation and handlebar removal.

The BL-M8200 is I-Spec EV compatible, allowing a suitable Shimano shifter to be mounted directly to the brake lever clamp. This produces a clean cockpit with extensive adjustment for the shifter’s position and angle.

Designed for Shimano’s latest low-viscosity hydraulic mineral oil, the lever maintains consistent performance across a wider range of operating temperatures. It is recommended for use with Shimano BR-M8200 two-piston, BR-M8220 four-piston and BR-MT805 brake calipers.
