Dia Compe BRS101 - non-recessed fixing version?

I want to fit Dia Compe BRS101 calipers to my bike - but the frame is from the '80s so it doesn't have recessed / allen key caliper mounts - can I buy a version of these calipers that has the longer pivot pin and a hex nut or is there a longer adapter pivot pin that will allow me to dismantle the standard allen key fixing offering and adapt it to hex nut fitting (like you can for some modern Shimano brakes). Thanks.

Hi,

There unfortunately isn't a set of these Dia-Compe BRS101 suitable for use with old steel frames that require a nutted fitting. The fixing bolts are the same as Shimano, so you can use one of the conversion bolts, these are SJSC part number 24266.

I Need A Caliper Length Of 47 Mm For A City Bike.

The fenders are 53 mm wide. Will this model work?
Do they come with the half moon wascher for a 13 mm diameter pipe?

Hi,

Unfortunately you will not be able to fit a 53mm wide mudguard in these brakes, it may just be able to fit through but would contact with the brake before it had come close to being fully applied. This brake does also not come with any half moon washers.
