Details
Mountain component manufacturers design brake levers and shifters to be mounted to one clamp, saving on precious handlebar space, making adjustment easier & quicker, and just plain looking better. Usually, these only mate with the corrensponding product from the same manufacturer, so Problem Solvers decided to mix 'em up. Their MisMatch Adapters allow you to mix 'n match Shimano I-Spec and SRAM MatchMaker products.

- CNC-machined aluminum, black anodized
- Made in the USA

I recommend this product
ConsPricey for what it is - a piece of metal
ProsEase of installation, clear instructions, well made
Does exactly what it says. Easy to install and cleaned up my cockpit as how I wanted it to be.

Just a note on the fixed positioning after the installation which may not be for everybody especially those with shorter fingers. I'm glad it worked just nice for my setup.

Can I use this to mount my Sram GX shifter to my Shimano SLX 7120 brakes?
By
19 May 2024
Hi
Thank you for your enquiry. The current SLX brake lever uses the Shimano I-Spec EV mount so this option would not fit, to make your set up work you would need one of the Wolf Tooth Components mounts, specifically the one on our item number 59453.
Kind Regards. JP 21/05/24
Can I use this to pair Sram x5 shifters 2x10speed with XT M8000 levers

NO, this will not work as X5 shifters do not use Srams direct mounting system.

My M8000 brake has BL-M8000 printed on it. How do I know if it is the I-Spec ll version? I tried looking at images on google to its not clear what makes it one version or the other.
Hi,

l-Spec ll has a semicircle that can be inserted between the clamp of the brake and the handlebar.

Hi
Thank you for your enquiry, the MisMatch Adapter that you should require for your set up is the MisMatch 1.1 Adapter which is on our part number 35936. We hope this helps.

Hi there,

Can you confirm that the 'Problem Solvers MisMatch 1.2 Adapter - Shimano I-Spec-II Brakes to SRAM MatchMaker Shifters - RH Only' will allow me to attach a SRAM GX shifter to a Shimano SLX M7000 brake lever?

Thanks
Hi,

Assuming it is definitely the I-Spec II version of the SLX brakes that you have the this would be the correct part you need.

Thanks.
