Details

Front brake cable hanger fork crown fitting. This allows the fitting of cantilever brakes without a normal hanger, where there is no space.
Supplied with an adjuster and a bolt/nut for forks with a recessed allen key fitting, for use with regular forks a longer nut and bolt will be required.
For use only with bikes equipped with a front mudguard as there is no "cable catcher" for the straddle wire in the event of brake cable failure.

Why aren't these fitted to any bike that has canti brakes? A simple effective product that gets rid of fork shudder and gives a more positive brake action.

these are a must for people running cantis with carbon forks, and they work, no more fork chatter, SJS are understating the use of this item, and I feel missing out, a model needs to be made more available that fits a carbon fork better, eg a flat mounting surface, that stands more proud of the headset cup. Result a product that does work but a more developed version is required.

A good quality product. Advertised as being for front or rear but the supplied nut and bolt is only suitable for use on the front, too long for the rear!

If there is only one bolt under braking pressure will the cable to cantilever brake alignment shift ?

i have a 2008 bianchi san jose with lots of front break chatter, cantilevers. looking to install a fork break hanger. from the face of the fork to the lower head race bearing i have 10mm. will this part give me enough clearance?

Could This Be Used For The Rear Brake Also?

Hi,

In theory yes it could be used for the rear also, but It may require some more adjustment to do so. You may need to change the length of the fixing bolt. Also depending on frame clearances you will have to be careful about where it fits as it may not fit at all and about the cable routing.
