I recommend this product
ConsWith all cantis you have to fiddle with cable lengths to get them right.
ProsGreat stopping power without discs.
These are great brakes for the price. The pads are not the best and don't show what the brake is capable of. Much easier to set up than the Oryx they replaced. The Oryx aren't actually that bad if set up properly with decent pads but these are just better. I run one bike with these up front and Oryx at the back (for pannier clearance). For pads I've used Ritchey (made by Koolstop!) and Clarkes triple compound, both are great.

I recommend this product
ConsSeem to be cheap pads
ProsLooks, adjustment points, price.
Was interested in testing these brakes with my CX bike. Been using BB5 R brakes with poor, fading performance of rear discbrake on my disc/rimbrake (Deore 475 disc hubs/Mavic A119 rims)wheels.
These brakes are my first canti's. Pads seem to be cheap and will be upgraded, brake feel has been good with some fading with the hard pads.
Great

ConsThe grub screws can round out
ProsCheap, good stopping, look nice
Lovely easy to set up brakes. I have them on my cross bike and my vintage mountain bike. Work well, look good and are light enough. At this price? Unbelievable.

Is it a complete set for rear and front or do I need to purchase 2 sets.
This is for one brake and the fixings.

These brakes won't engage rim on front wheel?
By

Rear brakes are fine and supplier insists they should work on both wheels. However pads skim tyre even in lowest position.
Hi there,

Without seeing your bicycle in person we are unable to offer any assistance, we can only recommend your local bike shop may be the best help.

Thanks

Providing your bike has canti studs and brake levers with a short cable pull then these brakes will be suitable.

Thanks.

Do you sell cartridge brake CR720.12
( black ) to fit the above brake?

I need a pair, if possible with Koolstop Salmon pads.
Hi,

These brakes accept V-brake style blocks so most of these type blocks will be compatible. The closest cartridge style blocks we have come with dual compound inserts rather than just the Salmon compound, these are SJSC part number 22265.

Thanks.
Do You Sell Replacement Cable Part For Tektro Cr720?
By

The cable and fastening bolt on my current Tektro wide cantis are very rusted. Do you sell just the cable part for Tektro CR720?
Hi,

These aren't made available as a spare by Tektro unfortunately so we're not able to get hold of this part for you I'm afraid.

Thanks.
