At last, a rack that fits my bike

I recommend this product
This is a great rack. It fit perfectly on my Merlin Malt-G within minutes. It attaches directly to the rear quick-release skewer so you don't need chain-stay eyelets on your frame and it gives adequate clearance if you have disk brakes. The rack sits quite far back, giving lots of room so you avoid hitting the pannier bags with your heels. The top front of the rack has long arms which connect to eyelets at the top of your seat tube. But if you don't have eyelets there is an alternative single-armed bracket which attaches to the brake mounting. There wasn't much clearance between the tyre and the mounting bosses for the arms on my bike, but then I realised you can flip it upside down so the mounting points are on top of the rack. This worked well for me. There are quite a few bolts included, but no instructions, but it's pretty straightforward to work out. Looks very well-made.

ConsNone
ProsCheap, easy to fit.
After looking around for a rack that would be suitable for a light weight touring bike with disc brakes, I found this rack. Although touted as for use on a bike without rack eyelets, I took a chance and found that it fitted perfectly and is easy to install. I would recommend using some thread lock on the biles attaching to the frame as mine worked loose after one trip. All in all a great track at a reasonable price.

How long are the rack stays on this?
By

I have a small pinnacle frame and wondering if the stays on this will be long enough to reach the eyelets. Thanks
Hi there,

The rack stays are approximately 280mm

Thanks.
Standard road version available
By

Hi, will the narrower standard road dlx rack be available again? It only seems to be available in the U.S. for some reason. Thanks
The item might be discontinued. We have only this particular rack in stock for the moment.

Many thanks

Tyre and/or mudguard clearance

How wide a tyre does this rack allow?
Hi there,

It would depend what size wheels you have. At the biggest size that this rack can take you would have around 65mm of clearance.

Thanks.

No disc brake
By
24 Aug 2017
Hi,

I would like to know if the streamliner disc would haver any problems bein installed on a regular road bike without disc brake. I am initially interested in the stramline road but as i see you are out of stock untill november i was wondering if this one will also do the trick??
Thanks
Hi,

You would be fine to fit this to a non-disc bike. The disc racks are just suitable for wider clearances.

Thanks.
Cannondale T2 Tandem
By
17 Apr 2016
Could you confirm that this track would fit our recently purchased cannondale t2 disc brake tandem. Or tell me the distance between the lower fixing points, the legs, so I can check if the track is wide enough. Thanks
Hi,

As we have never sold one of your bikes or had one here to test we can't say for sure whether or not this rack will fit I'm afraid. The distance between the fixing points is 170mm normally but could easily be spread out to 185-190mm without any issues.

Thanks.
Fit On 26" Wheels
By
10 May 2015
Hi, does it come with shorter fittings for 26" wheel or will it simply sit 1" too high ?
Hi,

It is only supplied with the one set of fittings so it will simply sit slightly higher than the tyre.

Thanks.
Rear Light On Rack
By
15 Jan 2015
I have bought the Axiom DLX rack and would like to mount a light or at least a reflector on the back of the rack. Can you suggest a make that would fit the holes on the rack please?
Hi,

Any light with a vertical fitting with bolts 20mm apart can be mounted to this rack, the light we'd recommend though would be the Cateye Opticube. If you wanted to run a light with a standard horizontal bolt pattern with the bolts 50mm apart you could just drill two new holes through the plate on the rack to allow fitting of this type of lights.

Thanks.
