Solid Rack, but faulty build
By Andrew

ConsInconsistent build quality
ProsSturdy, good value
I've owned and used the rack for 6months now and have had no issues with fitting or it's ability to carry full pannier bags. However, after initially fitting it I didn't think something was quite right - Eventually I realised the rack is skew and not central on the rear wheel (despite various attempts offsetting the arms, but impossible to bend the frame - which you would hope was the case!). This means I only have about 5mm clearance between my 25mm width tyre and the inside of the rack frame. So other than looking not quite right, there is also a slight misbalancing issue when using one/two pannier bags.

Finally got around to getting a pannier rack since I had a spare ortlieb city bag laying around the house. This rack is super lightweight, easy to assemble, and holds my bag like a dream. Highly reccomend.

Excellent rack for my Specialized Diverge. Can anyone suggest the right sort of rear light to fix to the rack? It has bracket/hole ready for a light but I can’t find the correct one
Just bought the Vaude clip on pannier... perfectly matched!

ProsLight, sturdy, good-looking
I bought this to go on my Pearson Touche single speed. It is a great design, very light. It just fits on the bike with my SKS mudguards and doesn't add much to the weight. It's also the easiest to fit rack that I've ever fitted. I'd highly recommend it.

Great slim rack. Doesn't spoil the lines of the bike. Easy to fit on my old 1980s Raleigh road bike with 'p' clips. (bought seperately).

I recommend this product
ConsNo anchor points for a bungee cord, no "P clips" included
ProsLightweight, ideal for road bikes, distributes, feels solid weight
Great lightweight rack, ideal for a drop bar roadie like mine. It's so light I can hardly tell it's there when I have no bags on it. The sloping sides it has distributes the weight over the centre of the rear wheel, effectively reducing the pull you get when turning with a heavy bag on the back.

The only criticism I have is the lack of anchor points for a bungee cord

Bought a second one of these for another bike, since it is very useful.

Consnone - maybe lack of a polished version?
ProsExcellent build and design for panniers
Should you need only panniers at the back, you need look no further. This is of solid yet light construction and has a thoughtful and well designed frame attachment.

Hi there,

The width is approximately 135mm.

Thanks
As this doesn’t fit a bike with disc brakes is there a slim model that does ?
By
25 Aug 2019
Hi there,

Unfortunately, we do not have any racks that are disc compatible that is slim I'm afraid.

Thanks.
could you recommend a rear light that would fit on the mounting plate at the back? Thanks
By

Hi there,

As there is only one mounting hole you are pretty limited and I cannot see anything that would fit straight away, I would look to modify the rack to have 2 holes or use a band on type light.

Thanks
Will this fit a Whyte Stirling
By
18 Oct 2017
I know it fits the 17 model with 28 tyre but the 18 which i have comes with 32 will there be sufficient clearance? Btw also looking a mguards perhaps expecting too much?
Hi,

This rack has clearance for up to 28mm tyres, now this will be with mudguards fitted so without mudguards you may be able to fit a 32mm tyre, but you unfortunately would not be able to fit both.

Thanks.
Is there enough clearance for both a 28c tyre and a 35mm mudguard.
By
07 Aug 2017
Hi, this would depend on both the profile of the mudguards and the profile and tread of the tyres. We know you can use SKS mudguards with 25mm tyres, but probably not if you have any amount of tread on your tyres. Thanks
Mounting On A Synapse
By
24 Feb 2017
Helllo,

Could this be mounted on a Cannondale Synapse - it has mudguard eyes, but no rack mounts.
Could I use the mudguard eyes (for both guards and rack), and use p-clips for the seat stays?
Many Thanks,
Hi,

As we have never fitted a rack to your bike it is hard for us to say for definite but with some longer bolts it should be possible to mount this rack in this way. The only thing to bear in mind though is that if the rack is mounted on longer bolts and with P-clips in this way the maximum load it can safely carry would be reduced.

Thanks.
For Disc Brake Wheels
By
26 Jan 2015
Hi , is this rack suitable for disc brakes wheels bike?
Hi,

Unfortunately this rack is not designed to be fitted to bikes with disc brakes, due to the narrow nature of the rack it would not clear the brake calliper.

Thanks.
Can The Tortec Velocity Rack Fit Onto Brake Bridge.
By
26 Jun 2014
i currently have a Tortec Velocity rack fitted on my bike. The rack is fitted to frame mounts. I would like to transfer the rack to a bike without frame mounts. Can this rack be fitted to a brake bridge? If not, can you recommend a suitable alternative?
Hi,

The rack you currently have is only designed for the one set of fittings so you won't be able to mount it to the brake bridge I'm afraid. The best option we have for a rack that will fit in that way is on of the Axiom streamliners which also can fit to the quick release dropouts for bikes without lower mounting points.

Thanks.
How Do I Attach This Toa Bike Without Fittings For Racks?
By
15 Oct 2013
I have a road bike I'd like a pannier for. However there isn't any holes to attach it. Would this pannier rack be suitable along with a p clip?
Hi,

Yes this rack can be fitted using P-Clips just be aware that the maximum load you can place on the rack will be lower than when used with braze on mounts.

Thanks.
