Hi there,

From the information I can see, those hubs are either designed for 7speed or 8 speed cassettes.

Thanks
Using 12/32 With 105 5701 Medium Cage Derrailleur
By
10 Apr 2017
Hello. Can you confirm me that I could I use this cassette 12/32 with my current derailleur 105 5701, the medium cage one, or should I change the derrailleur too? In the front crank is a compact 50/34. Thanks.
Hi you should change the derailleur for a long cage too.
Fitting On Ultegra Aluminium Free Hub Body
By
15 Feb 2016
Hi, Could you tell me if the IRD Elite 10 speed cassette will fit on a tall splined aluminium free hub body. Sheldon Brown refers to the IRD ES cassette as fitting. Here is his text:

IRD 10speed combinations

IRD has many combinations that are different from Shimano's. Some combinations are rather nice, and others have some uneven steps.

ES series cassettes have the four largest sprockets on aluminum spiders, two sprockets each. The spiders are indicated by background colors in the table below. These 10 speed cassettes fit all Shimano Freehub bodies including aluminum ones with tall splines.

As this text is a few years old I do not know whether the ES cassette that he refers to is the same as the current SE cassette.

I am trying to find a wider range cassette to fit onto my Ultegra R600 wheels which have the pesky tall splined body like the dura ace 7800.
Many thanks
Hi,

Although these 10spd IRD cassettes do have deep groves for the freehub body fitting they're ever so slightly too small to comfortably fit onto the freehub body for your R600 wheels. With a bit of force and a small amount of grinding they would fit on, but this is not something we'd recommend though.

Thanks.
Shimano Ultegra 11 Speed Group
By
08 Feb 2016
Dear,

Can I use the IRD Elite 10 Speed Cassette on my 11 speed Shimano Ultegra group?
So can I put this cassette on the 11 speed body or hub?
If yes, do I need an extra spacer en which one do I need?
Hi,

Unfortunately it is not possible just to perform a straight swap with a 10spd cassette for use with an 11spd drive train as the cable pull ratio is different. It is possible to adjust the cable pull with something like a ShiftMate, but we would just recommend sticking with an 11spd replacement cassette.

Thanks.
