I have changed my cycle set up completely, swapping 9 speed to 10 speed, keeping a triple front shift. This cassette is perfect the gears are spaced perfectly for my riding.
11-34 is perfect for those hill climbs

Part of like for like complete drive train renewal - felt wonderful. Issue at start Shimano chain would not drop on to 2nd largest cog whether on on small or large chainrings, all other changes perfect. Tech support thought could be a bedding in effect which seems to have occurred now.

Hi, What rear derailleur is compatible with my old Ultegra 10 speed shifters (black housing, black paddles, alu levers) for use with this 10 speed cassette CS-HG500 11-34T? Thanks Grahame
Most of the longer cage 10-speed road rear mechs would work for this- however as we are low on stock SJS part: 48064 or 41213 is our best option.

My MTB uses a Shimano Deore XT set with a Shimano 11-34T Cassette. My Pulley cage (95mm between the pulley and jockey wheels) is twisted. What size plates are compatible with this use? The SGS is 105mm and the GS is 80mm. Kind regards.

We cannot say if this will work, as the cassette fitting for Campagnolo is not compatible with Shimano cassettes.

Hi, my bike has a Shimano Tiagra rear mech and 12-28t cassette, will the 11-32 or even the 11-34 work with the current mech? cheers
Hi, if you have a medium cage mech and have a double chainset the max sprocket is 34t, if you have a triple chainset then the max is 32t. Thanks 06/02/20

Thank you for your enquiry. With the longer cage mech Shimano recommend that if you are running with a double chainset then you can use 11-32T whilst if you are using a triple chainset then it should be 11-30T.

Is it compatible (11-32) with Shimano 105 RD-5701 SS 10 Speed Rear Derailleur(short) Shimano Dura-Ace SL-7900 10 Spd Braze-On Down Tube Shifters 44 single front crank (1*10) ?
11-32t will require a GS.

I had on my 10 speed cassete shimano 105 two spacers under the big sprocket(1,85 1mm) There were almost nothing wobble. When i put the CS-HG500 12-28 on there is not enough space for two spacers(lock ring not ingage) so i removed 1 mm spacer. Now the cassete is a little bit wobble. Hub is ksyrium. i noticed that the back side of a big sprocket is a litle bit different from shimano 105. Vhat should i do?

I will be taking on some serious Hills over the summer and this cassette will be used to lighten the load whilst climbing. I currently have a 10 speed ultegra groupset, is this cassette a suitable replacement for my existing cassette which is a different ratio.

Repaced my chain and now slips on one gear, after inspection you can see the gears most used have wear.
Yes, but the ratio will not be 11-36, so your climbing gear will be sacrificed.

Hi, I'm replacing a Tiagra CS 4600 10spd cassette 12-30t. Very confused about the CSHG coding. Is CSHG500 compatible with/same as CS 4600? Do you have anything else compatible? I like 12-30 teeth!
Yes the CSHG500 would be suitable, but the ratios are different, 11-30t, but this would be fine, just give you a slightly harder largest gear.

Although it is a larger cassette than what Shimano would recommend in reality with some adjustment to the b-tension screw it should be possible.

This question supersed previous due to errors in question.
Hi,

According to the information from Shimano the older Tiagra 4600 derailleurs have a maximum sprocket size of 30 teeth, but the newer 4700 have a maximum sprocket size of 32t, so it does depend on what age your derailleur is. The design hasn't change a huge amount though so the older one still may be suitable for that cassette. Either way you will also need to adjust the limit screws on your derailleur.
