I recommend this product
ConsNone
ProsGood, simple, cheap
A very simple chainset that allowed me to cheaply convert a city bike into single speed, with the right bottom bracket (68x118). Too early to comment on durability.

Hello Shimano state that either chain can be used, suggesting using either the CN-HG71 or CN-NX10 chains.

Are the settings correct?
By
03 Apr 2020
I use this crankset with Shimano bb un55 bottom bracket (115mm) for alfine 8 (which need 42mm chainline). Are the settings correct?
The chainline with a 119mm bottom bracket would be 45mm, so around 115mm would be suitable.

Thanks - 06/04/20
Can i use with alfine 11?

Hi. Can i use this crankset with Alfine 11 or A 8 hub? And which lenght BB i should use for correct chainline? Thanks.
Yes, any single set up. Around 117mm, you can adjust the sprocket style though.

What BCD is the chain ring?
By
21 Sep 2019
Hi
Thank you for your enquiry, the chainring on this item does not have a BCD as it is a complete unit including the crank arm. If a replacement is needed then you would need to purchase a complete chainset.
Kind Regards. 23/09/19
extracting tool and bottom bracket
By
23 Feb 2019
What tool do I need to extract my existing chainset (Suntour SR triple)? How do I know if my bottom bracket is the right one to install the Nexus chainset?
We would be unable to advise without seeing the bike and components.

Do you have a chainguard in your products range to put on this crankset ?
Thanks
Hi,

Shimano unfortunately have never produced a chainguard for this chainset so there is nothing we can offer I'm afraid.

Thanks.
