Will these work on a shimano deore xt hollow tech 2 fc t780 triple chainring, shimano says the bolt length tor the outer, and middle chainring is 9.1mm,measured from the end of the bolt to the back side of the bolt head, would like to purchase these from sjs cycle,if they will work.SJS CYCLES part number 33768GLD, will be waitting to hear back from sjs cycles on this thank you.
SJS Customer Service:
Hi,

Although these bolts don't exactly match the dimensions of the original bolts, they are still long enough and will serve as suitable replacements for your current chainring bolts.

Thanks.
What Are The Dimensions?
By

I am having problems choosing a bolt set because of the lack of dimensions on the descriptions.
I need the outside of the threaded section of the female end to be 8mm, i.e. the hole in the chainrings and crank is 8mm. The length of the 8mm section could be between 13.75mm and 15.75mm.
The head of the male end needs to be less than 12.4mm to fit into the hole in the cranks but obviously more than 8mm.
Can you suggest any bolt sets please, I am prepared to modify some if I have to.
SJS Customer Service:
Hi Neil, I think your best option would be to drop us an email to sales@sjscycles.com with some images of what you currently have. If you could let us know what chainset you have & maybe take some images of this & of the chainring bolts & we can then see if we have anything that comes close to matching it. Regards Jamie
