Optimise your charging.
Connect your dynamo to a power bank rather than directly to a phone — phones expect stable voltage and can glitch or stop charging otherwise.
Optimise charging -
Only charge one device at a time if power output is low (e.g., 3–6W typical from dynamos).
Prioritize low-draw devices like lights, or charge power banks while riding and use those for phones later.
Ride at a Steady Pace
Most dynamos reach peak efficiency between 15–25 km/h (9–15 mph).
Lower or higher speeds reduce output, so maintaining a steady cadence helps get consistent power.
NOTE: Not compatible with SON 29S hubs. Standard dynamo hubs are compatible as output is 1V per km/h, therefore overvoltage could occur at speeds over 75km/h which are rarely maintained. As SON 29S hubs output 2V per km/h, overvoltage when used with this device is reached at 38km/h which can frequently occur during downhill descents. Risking overvoltage can damage hardware by causing it to overheat.
The kLite Micro is a tiny dynamo powered USB charger.
Designed to be used standalone or as part of the kLite system, with the Micro you can charge key electronics on the go.
Built around universal compatibility, the Micro works with a wide variety of dynamo hubs and key electronics like cache batteries, GPS trackers, phones and lights, so it's pretty much plug and play with most USB powered devices.
Tiny form factor, perfect for storing in bags or zip-tying to frames or forks.
You can use the single lead to hub for an easy USB recharge solution on any bike with a dynamo hub.
Package Includes:
1X - Klite Micro USB-C charger
2X - 200 X 3 mm zip ties
5v USB output
1400mA Max power output
Waterproof
100v MAX speed
