I recommend this product
ConsIt has to be soldered onto the cable.
ProsMakes connecting cable hub dynamo easier.
As the title says, it works as it should do, and makes reconnecting the cable to the dynohub much easier. However, if you're not handy with a soldering iron, then the job of connecting it to the cable is going to be tricky.

ConsTricky soldering and price.
ProsSimplifies hook-up in the dark.
A better selection of the male plug could avoid some tricky soldering, or perhaps it should be supplied with a pre-soldered tail attached so that only a simple splice is required.

Hi, can this work if also running an Igaroo with an edelux 2
By
17 Apr 2024
You can, but you will need to add a connection further up the Edelux wiring or colder it directly with the light wiring. For running a split feed to two devices using piggy back connectors is easier. SK 19/04/24
Hi, how does the coaxial connector attach to the light cable, does it need to be soldered? thanks.

It’s a SON Delux hub and a Busch & Muller Lumitec light unit
Hi
Thank you for your enquiry. Yes, you will need to solder the cable from your light to the male plug for this to work. If you scroll down the page on the item you will see a 'Download' section which contains the instructions from SON.

Does this replace the spade connector, or is it soldered "above" the spade?
By

This replaces the spade connector and makes fitting and removal simpler. SK 28/11/23
Can I use this with an SP Dynamo hub?
By
21 Dec 2022
Hi
Thank you for your enquiry. This item is only compatible with SON dynamo hubs as they have spade connectors, SP have a different connector on the hub so cant use this item.

Grease to ease dynamo connector installation/removal
By
23 Feb 2022
Hi, i wondered if you could recommend a grease that would stop dynamo connectors seizing and making them easier to remove, but will also conduct electricity rather than act as an insulator.
For the spades any grease would do. If there is a choice a silicon-free grease will be good, for example, technical vaseline.

Could you use this with a Sinewave Beacon and a SON Deluxe hub?

Yes, you can, it will require a bit of soldering, however!

Do the two wires from the Edelux II have to be soldered together to the (rear) end of the male part
Yes, you will need to solder these to the fitting.
