Our Thorn 700c Reynolds 525 Steel Disc Forks have an ISO disc mount, direct fitting stainless mudguard bosses, stainless open brake line guide and stainless bosses for lo-loader carriers. The L1 dimension (centre of axle to crown race seat) is 383mm. They're suitable for use with mudguards, using tyres up to 40c and they're available in 46mm or 52mm fork offset in 5 different colours. They have a high quality cast fork crown and weigh 1255g with the 380mm steerer (the steerer may be cut down to suit, which also reduces the weight by 1.03g per mm).

Hi
Thank you for your enquiry, this fork is not supplied with the star nut so this will need to be purchased as well. You could use our part number 30331 which is made by Cane Creek.

Are these disc forks available with 1" steerer tubes?
By

I'm a recent convert to disc brakes after the purchase of custom built disc brake specific frame. I would like to fit a steel front disc fork to some of my idle traditional steel Audax and touring bikes which all have 1" fork steerer tubes. I'd be happy to have the braking and safety advantage of a front disc brake, at least, after what I've experienced with my new disc bike.
Hi there,

Simply, no. Most 1" forks are not produced with disc mounts as the two technologies do not really overlap on a timeline. Disc brake use has typically always been with 1/1/8th steerer tubes or even tapered.

Thanks
Can You Confirm The Axle-Crown Length Of This Fork? 283Mm Sounds Short.

I'm looking for a fork that will fit a 700x32 tire without a fender
Hi,

This is a miss print on our part, the axle to crown measurement should actually read 383mm. This fork will happily accept a 700x32mm tyre if you are not running guards.

Thanks.
