ConsNot durable, poor seals, non-removable
Update to my previous review.

Firstly I overstated the mileage when I wrote my initial review, it was probably somewhere around 40/50 miles.

Anyway after about 80 miles, the last 15 in the wet it started to grind and the grease had leaked out. I removed the cover hoping to be able to regrease it but was sprayed with bearings. Those that I could recover were dull and past it.

At this point I decided to remove the freewheel, as others have noted there are no slots to fit a standard removal tool so I turned to the internet. The 2 recommended methods were to use a hammer and punch or to clamp the freewheel body in a vice and turn the wheel. Neither method claims to leave the freewheel in a usable state...

In some ways it served the purpose that I bought it for as it confirmed that I had the correct ratio but I'm disappointed at its short life.

At the end of the day I could only recommend it for a bike that will be used in the dry and one where you're prepared to leave teh freewhell on for ever!

ConsMay be hard to remove?
ProsDirt cheap!
Got this to experiment with ratios until I find the right one when I'll put a decent one on.

Nothing more to add, it's a freewheel, turn it one way and it engages, the other it doesn't! It's had about 100 dry miles and still works! See what happens after some wet rides

Share the concerns on removal but I greased it well and have a tool that should do the job

ConsNo remove slots.
ProsLooks of good quality and is cheap.
I am hesitate to put this on a wheel as I think it would be difficult to remove due to there being no remove slots.

Does This Freewheel Actually Have Slots For Removal?
15 Jan 2017
In the description is the part number for the Park Tools removal tool but the previous comments/reviews and the picture make it sound like this freewheel doesn't have any slots for the Park Tool to grasp?

You are correct, this freewheel does not have any tool slots for removal, the description is the same across all of the Diamondback models so it must have just been done as a blanket description rather than checking the individual item. I have now updated the description to reflect this.
