I recommend this product
ConsCould have mentioned the cable locking bolt, but spare always handy
ProsGenuine and good price
Genuine Shimano and includes inner and outer cable and isn’t mentioned but does include inner cable fixing bolt..
So I bought this as well!
Fixing bolt is on cable in exact position for perfect gear changes. So don’t move or mark with marker if outer needs cutting.

Is there any chance to use this for mtb rear derailleur?
Thank you for your enquiry, sorry it would not be suitable as the cable pull ratio is different.

Fitting on bullhorn bars

Hi
Does this have to be slipped on from the end of the bar or will it open sufficiently to be attached to the bar without removing all of the tape etc?

Will this work with a nexus 8 hub?
This will need to be slid on from the bar end, with regards to compatibility with the nexus 8 this may work- however is not recommended by the manufacture.
Hi ,Can i use this with Claris 8 speed ?

No, it is for an Internal Hub, you can use any of these (copy and paste the link):

On this shifter you do indeed need to push to shift down.

Thanks.

Can this "7000" shifter be used with a S7001-8 hub?

Can this "7000" shifter be used with a S7001-8 hub? I'm confused as to the difference between a S7000 and S7001 hub!
Hi,

This shifter will be fine for use with the S7001 hub, there will only have been a few updates that Shimano has made as a rolling change rather than any large noticeable differences.

Thanks.

What is the difference?https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/gear-shifters/shimano-alfine-sls503-8-speed-rapidfire-shifter-right-hand-black/
Hi, the SL-S7000 shifter is specific to Alfine S7000 hubs. They also pull in opposite directions eg high to low / low to high.
Will This Work With Alfine 8 Sg-S500?

This may be the same question already answered, but wondering if this will work with Alfine 8 SG-S500?
Hi,

The answer from the previous question does apply, in theory it should work but the shifting may be reversed compared to what it is supposed to be.

Thanks.
Will This Work A Shimano Nexus 8 Speed Hub?

I cannot fit a twist shift to by handlebar and need an alternate system
Hi,

This is in theory compatible with your Nexus 8spd hub, but shifting mechanism is opposite to the S7000 hub so the gearing indicator will be wrong as the gears will work in the other direction.

Thanks.
