Co-Motion Rohloff Shifter for Speedhub 500/14

I purchased this Co-Motion shifter to replace the Rohloff to reduce the annoyance of difficulty gripping the Rohloff shifter in wet weather.
I read from the description that this shifter was made to clamp to a 31.8mm handlebar section. I have a ‘Modolo Dumbo’ 3D handlebar which from the description I misread as a diameter of 25.4mm.
This diameter is the clamp area – the bar is actually 22.2mm.
However, I purchased a 25.4 – 31.8mm spacer to make up the difference, & took up the extra space using ‘Gorilla’ tape.
After a couple of rides, I had to tighten the shifter clamp to bed it in.
This shifter is easier than the Rohloff to use, being larger would be helpful to riders with cold or rheumatic hands!
The shifting action is smooth & positive, installation was as simple as the Rohloff.
Ironically it hasn’t rained since I installed this shifter 2 weeks ago!!
This is a great improvement to my Thorn Nomad converted ebike. I’ve nearly achieved the pinnacle of biking heaven IMO!!!
