Can I use this with a Shimano Alfine 8 speed IGH ?

Recommended part number is as follows as Alfine twist shifters no longer available - SJS part number 35934, product descripton - " Shimano Alfine SL-S7000 8 Speed Rapid Fire Plus Shift Lever ".
