Multi-position grips with integrated 2 finger bar ends. The shape of the grip is the same as the GP1. The bar end and grip can be independently adjusted to suit riding position and style.

ConsApart from the rubber material

ProsVery comfortable and durable

I bought these to be an exact replacement for some nearly 20-year old Ergon grips and they fitted perfectly. The reason for needing replacement was a deterioration of the rubber grip material so that it became very sticky. I hope Ergon have improved this, but it's a small complaint about a product which really enhances riding comfort.

ProsThe best grips available

Used Ergon grips for years but it wasn’t until I recently had a spell back on normal grips that I appreciated how good they really are. Expensive but money spent on contact points is rarely wasted and usually a good investment.

I recommend this product

Bought these for my Brompton S bar with the help of knowledgeable SJS pre-sale advice. They are nicely-made and initial riding impressions are favourable. The barends are short but usable and don't prejudice folding in my setup.

As a bonus, the package would make an effective loo roll holder!

SJS Customer Service:

Overall length 142mm.
Bar end length from center of bar 68mm.
Grip only length 115mm.
Handlebar spacer required 135mm.

What Is The Difference Between Small And Large Size?

I am unclear on what varies in size - is it the pale size or just the length of the grip?

The size difference is only in the palm support size, we'd normally recommend the large size for most people unless you have very small hands.

Will The Ergon Gp2 Handle Bar Grips Work On My Brompton ?

Hi,

Although these grips will fit your Brompton if you have an M or H type Brompton then you may need to make some modifications to shorten the grip as it is much longer than the standard ones. The full size Ergon grips are around 140mm long.
