Not Durable Enough

I find rubber grips uncomfortable, leather grips too slippery. Cork is good but a problem to fix on the bars. I thought these looked like a good solution, the rubber would ensure they stayed in place and cork would be comfortable. However I had a problem fitting these, the tight fit meant that it took some force to get them in place, consequently the cork started to separate from the rubber and split. Perhaps soaking them in hot water first would help, but I'll stick to the type of grip that fixes to the bars with small allen key bolts in future.

Will These Grips Fit A Brompton M Bar?
21 Jul 2015
SJS Customer Service:

These grips have the same internal diameter as the standard Brompton M type grips so they will fit the bars fine. You may need to move your brake levers over slightly though as these Thorn grips are about 5mm longer than the standard Brompton M type grips.
