Which colour wheel bearing seal faces out

Hi, advice please. My 6902 LBLU wheel bearing seals are black one side and brown the other. Does the brown seal face out (the pre-fitted blue one in the freehub faces outwards). If yes, is it always he case that the black seal faces inwards? Thanks in advance.
