In the description you state that this kit can only be used with Shimano FH-RM30-7NT 7 speed Nutted rear hubs.
Why is that? Are the cones a different angle? Or is it because Shimano only list that hub?

Yes this a 10x1. The Shimano stock axles are like for like replacements, the WM are after market replacements, we cannot really comment on the strength, the quality seems to be as good.
