Supernova are renown for their commitment to innovation, design and functionality. The new E3 Tail Light 2 expands technical limits while embracing Supernovas' puristic design ideals.

The electronics for the rear light are neatly integrated into the front light thus allowing for the extremely small design of the light. The CNC machined rear light is very elegant and weighs in at only 12 grams. It is also 100% waterproof which is a real bonus. Designed in Germany it is one of the brightest rear lights that is compliant with the exacting German road traffic act.

The Tail Light 2 has an ultra bright beam with 250 radius has the affect of greatly enhancing your safety. The Twin Beam Technology creates extremely bright illumination both to the rear and the sides. The indicator beam allows the rider to control whether the light is on or off while sitting in the saddle. Two different beam angles are used by the three LEDs to optimally combine the light output to brightly illuminate the whole of the danger zone behind you.

The twin core wiring is protected by shrink wrap for its whole length and ensures a safe, loss free power transfer along side top performance.

The 6061 aluminium housing is anodized to make it corrosion resistant.

I recommend this product
ConsNothing so far
ProsSmall, light, good output.
This has a good light out put and was relatively easy to fit. I had to enlarge the cable hole on my rack mount as the cable connection on the light is quite substantial. Supplied with connectors and shrink wrap to connect it to a compatible front light.

How long is the cable?`
By

Can I ask how long the cable is? It will be used for a tandem so not sure if I need to buy extra to meet the front light. thank you.
Hi
Thank you for your enquiry, the cable length for the light is 1.8m. I hope this helps.
Kind Regards. JP 30/11/23

6v or 12v Version?
By
30 Sep 2021
Hi I'm intending on running the light with the E3 front light with a dynamo front wheel (rather than e-bike) Do I need the 6v or 12v version or will either work?
This version is needed ( Dynamo ) if being paired with a dynamo lighting system.

The rear has two holes at 50 mm standard mounting.

Thanks!
Stand Light Power, Is It The Same As When Moving?
By
02 Oct 2014
What is the power of the stand light. Is it as bright when stationary as when in motion or is it like the front E3 which loses brightness when stopped?
Hi,

The rear light will dip slightly in brightness when the bike is stationary similar to the front light. it should drop as noticeably as the front light either though. The actual output of the light when stationary has not bee recorded.

Thanks.
Do You Have The 90 Degree Cable Option?
By
21 Apr 2014
can you get the one with the 90 degree cable option, where the cable points down so it can fit flush against the rack mount?
Hi,

I'm afraid all of the rack fitting Supernova rear lights have the same cable placement, there are none with the cable coming out at 90 degrees to normal.

Thanks.
Supernova Rear Light

Hi
Would this light work with a B&M Luxos and dynamo set up?
Hi,

I'm afraid that supernova rear lights only work with supernova front lights.

Thanks.
