Straight Replacement - Fine

I recommend this product
I have a Brompton with built in hub dynamo. Rear light failed it does get a lot of hammer from being at the end of the rack, when it pivots down to the ground. Mine failed and this is a straight replacement. It might be only a single LED but it is very bright and tidy.

ConsNeed a clear instruction
ProsLooks Good!
Bought this to replace my fused rear light, I wouldn't said it is a perfect system but I have a piece of mind not to worry about the battery life.

Installation quite tricky! To remove the wire connector you need remove the old lighting cover, then you can release catch from there.

For me I just simply replace the front lighting unit with the old base.
Poor Rear Light

ConsFlimsy, Dim light
ProsBuilt in reflector, colimator, light weight
This light has some mayor flaws. At firts I did like it as the built reflector shines nicely in any direction it is lighted, a single Led seems silly in this multi blinding LED's era, but a colimator

Removing rear rack
02 Dec 2017
Hi, I'm removing my rear rack on my M6R. I need to mount the rear stand light somewhere else as it is mounted on the rack. Do I need a bracket to fix it to rear brake / LSD fixings, or will it just fit?

Yes you need a mount to fit the light to the brake -
SJS Cycles part number : 43700 - Black OR SJS Cycles part number : 13674 - Silver

Do not forget to double check the instructions for how the mudguard stay bolts are facing and how the guard fits as this will affect the fold/the tyre will rub.

Reliable Replacement For Brompton Front Light?
22 Dec 2013
I have bought a number of Brompton rear lights (hub dynamo) from you (see my purchase record) over the years and they rarely last more than 6 months. I guess I should send them back to you and demand a refund (I have a box of them...but not sure they all came from you..) and whilst the Schmidt light works well (thanks for that one..) on the front, I am using a battery rear lamp attached to the seat post. I would be really pleased to have a reliable rear light ( preferably with off button for railway stations...) and not have the uncertainty of the Brompton neat but inadequate (was it designed for a static applicatoin???). I have a very busy life and messing around with rear lights is not something I enjoy or have time for.
What would you recommend that would be reliable (also something that does not protrude and be liable to get smashed!!)?

The best one I can recommend that fits all of your criteria is the Busch & Muller Toplight Line Plus SJSC part number: 23284.
