This Supernova E3 Pro 2 Dynamo front light cannot be used together with a rear light, it does not have a connection point to attach a rear light cable

The E3 Pro 2 is the improved successor of the model of Supernova's front dynamo lighting range. It is their most popular light by far. This lamp is used as daytime light in the heat of California, has withstood British weather conditions all year round and each winter has to endure the salt on German roads. The E3 Pro 2 is already being used by bike riders touring the most remote regions of the globe as it reliably lights the way of commuters on their daily way to work. The new side illumination greatly increases the safety in traffic and the brightly glowing Supernova logo is a real highlight.

The cable fitted to the light is 550mm long.

Can it be fixed to a Thorn Sherpa?

Does the E3 Pro, mount on road caliper brakes
15 Jul 2017
Does the E3 Pro come with fittings which allow fitting with standard road caliper brakes, or is an extra mounting bracket required?

An extra bracket will be required to be mounting.

On/Off Switch?
24 May 2017
Does this light have an On/Off switch? I want to connect it to my Son dynamo together with my Plug using piggyback connectors at the hub, so I need to be able to turn the light off when I'm charging something through the Plug. (I know the description speaks of a "Compact control push button switch" which is probably the answer to my question, I just want to be 100% sure)

This light does have an on/off switch.

Rear Cable
09 Jan 2017
Hi, I know the light does not come with a wire for a rear light. Is this somehting i can purchase seperately later on and fit to it?

Unfortunately not, this light does not have any provision for a rear light cable so it can never be used with a rear light.

Supernova E3 Pro 2 Dynamo Front Light Query
16 Nov 2016
Hi The bracket which comes with this light. Excuse my ignorance but will it fit the hole through the top of the front forks where the mudguard is fixed I am running disc brakes.
Also does it come with everything to fit to a dynamo hub?

Robert Sissons

The supplied bracket is indeed designed to fit to the bolt hole in the fork crown. This light should be supplied with everything needed to connect it to a dynamo hub.

Two Lights, Different Prices
02 Nov 2016
What is the difference between this light and the other by the same name being sold at £150 (ref: 30764gry Manufacturer part number : SN1GM2)?

The main notable difference is that this light has no rear cable for fixing a rear light so it cannot be used with a dynamo rear light.

Supernova E3 Pro Mounting
24 Aug 2016
I have a bike with cantillever brakes, what mounting could I use with the supernova? Is there one?. Or would my only real option be mounting it on the handlebars? (Or going for a lighter light and using a b&m cantillever light bracket).

Aside from the B&M cantilever bracket your main other option is indeed only the handlebars I'm afraid.
