Green Oil is the original award winning green chain lube. Green Oil is a 'wet lube', suitable for all riding conditions, rain or shine. The Ecologist Magazine's 'Pick of the Month', Green Oil is also winner of Mountain Bike's Gold Award.

Green Oil Wet Chain Lube was developed out of frustration. Other lubes were petroleum based, mostly contained PTFE, and even said 'Dangerous for the Environment' on the bottle. Green Oil is a biolubricant. It's made from plants instead of petrochemicals.

Green Oil Wet Chain Lube is 100% biodegradable. Not 'biodegradable with PTFE', a line some other brands suggest. Apply to the inside of your chain for one length, spin the cranks. Wipe off excess with a rag to keep the chain nice and clean - you only need oil between the links where friction occurs.

ProsLong lasting, works well, genuinely biodegradable

Discovered this when researching what lube to buy. It's really good stuff and I like the fact that it's much better environmentally than most lube. Also a good company to support. If you get this on your hands its easier to wash off and doesn't do harm like other products.

Prosbiodegrdeability, Easy application. Reasonably long-lasting oil. Nice people.

I've been using this stuff for years. It works very well, the bottle makes application a cinch, and the company philosophy is great.
Pretty much all chain oil ends up washed off in the environment somewhere, so have a biodegradable oil seems like a really sensible plan.

ProsThe perfect lube - stays on chain, repels muck and water

One coat, then 3 months riding, several hundred miles, through Devon lanes full of gritty cow slurry - washed off after every ride with a watering can.
Oil stays on chain, muck falls off - I have never found anything like it! ???? ???? ???? ???? ?????

The oil is working very well, much better than dry lube. On top of it it is nature friendly.
