Used on an old Dawes from 1980s and was perfect for the job. It holds the basket firmly, just far enough away to avoid fouling the cables and is a vast improvement over bar straps. Use of an additional support to the front wheel axle or mudguard eye is essential. Found that the stem clamp bolts were too long so replaced with shorter stainless ones. Had to set stem to max height so that basket did not contact brake levers.
