Questions & Answers (1) Q & A
Often useful, especially when travelling on public transport, the zip-up Brompton Cover is quick to fit and remove, and features a draw cord around its base to ensure a secure fit. The cover comes in a saddle bag, ensuring it is readily to hand; the saddle bag can be attached to purpose-built fastening loops at the rear of the basic and Brooks saddles or to the rails of the other saddles. 240gms

Perfect for Eurostar

I recommend this product
ConsDraw string is a nuisance when the cover is over the bike
ProsTough, light, and folds up small
Bought this cover for travelling on Eurostar. It fits over my Brompton with telescopic seat post easily and there is enough spare room for gloves and lights in the saddle bag with it. Eurostar won't allow you to take your Brompton on the train as luggage unless it has this, or a similar, cover over it.

ProsLight but tough
This is the cover which features in Brompton's own catalogue. It is made of tought nylon and comes with a saddle bag into which it packs for staorage. The bonus is that the saddle bag is large enough to hold a clip-on front and rear light and a hi-viz waistcoat. I found I didn't have to take the saddle bag off the Brompton when I folded it so that my little lights etc remained in the saddle bag within the overall cover. (The cover fitted over the telescopic seat post with reasonable room.) I haven't used the zip or the draw cord as the cover slides over the folded Brompton but I think the draw cord may be an advantage when carrying the covered bike onto public transport.

Consremove the zip cord
Prosquick to install, light, good quality
Perfect for the Brompton, very quick installation.
I juste remove the zip cord, in my opinion it is too much and not needed (and it goes into you feet when walking)

Does It Fit With Extended Seatpost And Ergongrips
15 Apr 2014
Hi I have a Brompton H3R With an extended seatpost and a B17 Brooks Seat and Ergon GP3 Grips.
The size of the bike folded is: 67cm high x 66cm long x 37cm wide
Does it fit in this bag or in the Carradice Folding Bike Carrying Rucksack Suitable for all Brompton Models & Micro Type Bikes?

We tested one here in the shop with a H3L with an extended seatpost and at a squeeze the bag fits around but the seat still protrudes from the top. This version obviously doesn't have Ergon grips or the rack which will expand the overall package further. I believe it will fit with these options on the bike but I can't say for sure ad it will not be a quick process to fit it into the bag. The seat will also definitely protrude. If you don't mind either of these issues then it should be fine.
