Proscheap, simple
Easy to fit, and a great cheap solution if your saddle doesn't have loops for a saddle bag.

ProsFunctional, discrete, strong
These do what they are supposed to, and at least with Brooks saddles which don't have loops work very well, I have them fitted to my Brooks pro's (have two) and have no problems attaching various Carradice bags.

ConsColor (my saddles' rivets are copper)
ProsEasy to fit and removable
I bought a Brooks Colt Saddle and was very disappointed to see it did not have any loops for my toolbag... I got this loops and although they do not fit 100% exactly due to the narrow rails, it has been the best solution (easy to fit, discrete and removable to switch it for the Saddlebag Clamp when carrying bigger and heavier bags).

Maybe Carradice should work on a solution with the loops on the right/left extremes for saddles with narrow rails... Still a good and classy solution.

Consdon't make it possible to use a Carradice saddlebag with saddles with narrow rails.
Proseasy to fit
Easy to fit and secure. However, if your saddle rails are too close together the bag will hang low and swing around. Great if you have a Brooks without loops already there, but otherwise they don't solve the problem. I gave up and invested in the QR Bagman Sport support which is brilliant.

Conslack adjustability
Do what they are supposed to, easy to fit. Saddle rails still too narrow to hang Carradice bag, so this didn't help me.

I’ve just bought a 2 litre zip roll Carradice saddlebag

From you (not arrived yet) and wondering whether I should get these to fit on my saddle. It’s an iscalle tornado with rails 5cm apart. Please could you advise. Thanks
Hi there,

The ideal width is 11-13cm for the tabs, these make the fitting slightly easier but on rails that are fairly narrow may not make much difference.
