Although it took some time to get the clamp in place, I am very pleased with the result. My Carradice Barley Bag fits perfectly.

ConsNot very discrete
ProsEasy to fit, removable and solid.
I use the Cyclo Bag Loops on a daily basis for carrying my toolbag on a Brooks Colt Saddle... when carrying bigger and heavier bags I switch to the Saddlebag Clamp.

Both options are great, although the loops are more discrete for small bags.

to determine if this clamp will fit a Fizik Aliante saddle, what's the width of the rear plate that mounts to the saddle rails and what's the overall width?

Hi there,

The max width that you have got to mount on the saddle rails is approximately 80mm, However the bolts are moveable so will fit down to 42mm. The width of the whole unit is approximately 120mm.

Karrimor Uplift Compatibility
15 Dec 2014

My Nelson Longflap has been hung off the newer bagman expedition support for a while, but now another bike in the shed..etc...I've got a karrimor uplift, but not a Brooks (rather a San Marco Concor Light, and a Selle Italia Flite). I tried Cyclo Loops with little success, would this be my solution?

Without any pictures of the bikes or the set up you currently have it is hard to say for sure, but from what you have described this Carradice Saddlebag Clamp may well be your best option.
