Specific Internal Dimensions Of R And K Rackpacks

I need a racktop bag (easier to use at my desk than a pannier) to fit A4 materials, as well as everything else. My Agu Quorum 575, with its extra extendable upper wedge, has now given up after 15 years. I use a thin (1", flexible) A4 ringfile rather than a standard one, as it can cope with a little bending at the front end and is not quite as large. Would this fit inside the main compartment of the Rackpack 1, or the 2? I don't want to resort to the opened out side pockets of the '1 plus' bag as these are good for emergencies they are usually too small for A4 are also a problem when the bag is not on the bike.

2) Presumably these bags come with the rack fitting. Is this included in the quoted weight? And, are extra ones available (and how much are they) for extra bikes?

Thanks.
SJS Customer Service:
Hi,

Unfortunately neither this bag nor the Rackpack 2 would be suitable for you needs. Although the Rackpack 1 is long enough to fit an A4 file in it is not tall enough. The taller end would be high enough but the other end of the bag is much lower and would not allow you to fit anything A4 sized in. The Rackpack 2 is slightly smaller in all directions internally so would not fit an A4 file at all. Both of the Rackpacks use Rixen and Kaul's Klickfix fitting that is permanently attached to the bottom of the bag but it allows for quick removal and fitting whilst still being compatible with most racks.

Thanks.
