What is the size of the clearance hole and what metal are these clips constructed from?
27 Dec 2017

Do these clips have an m5 or m6 clearance hole?

Also what metal are these made from? I wish to use these on a bike used every day and in all weather conditions and would rather use clips that did not corrode.

Hi there,

The holes are 5mm, and they are made from aluminium.

Can These Be Used To Fit A Pannier Light To A Bagman?
30 Dec 2014
Hi, Im trying to work out the best way to set up lights on my bike when using a bagman, and these look like they could be used as the mounting holes for a rear pannier light to mount onto the horizontal cross section of a bagman. Are they going to be too wide a diameter to do this, and will the bag interfear with the lights if it does mount? (I have an expedition bagman and a Nelson carradice bag if that makes a difference!)

Unfortunately it is unlikely to work as the you won't be able to get the p-clips tight enough around the bars on the Bagman. If you packed out the tubing with some form of spacer then it should be able to clamp up tight enough. Once fitted they shouldn't interfere with the bag as the light will sit low enough to be out of the way.

What Is The Best Way To Find The Right Size P Clip!
24 Jul 2014
I am trying to fit a rack to a cycle without braze ons. Can you advise the best way to identify the correct size? Also, can you advise on appropriate nut and bol?

Many thanks

To know which sized p-clips to purchase you will need to measure the diameter of your frame where you are going to be mounting them too, then select the closest size. We actually recommend a different set to this that come in more sizes and are supplied with bolts and nuts, these other p-clips are SJSC part number 5058.
