Fender disc mounting issue
By Chander Sharma
16 Aug 2019
Hi
Both the current and previous Fender Disc designs are attached to the left fork where there is usually a brazed eyelet for this purpose.
However some left forks are ‘clean’ and do not have this eyelet. These forks were used when mudguards were supplied. If I remove the mudguards from my bike I have no corresponding eyelet to use for the fender-disc.
So in this case, how is the disc mounted. I can email SJS with photos if this would help.
Cheers

SJS Customer Service:
If you do not have the braze on, you simply cannot fit this.

Fender disc mounting

My Brompton came with mudguards and does not have a fork location for the fender disc, presumably because the mudguard does that job instead.
I would like to remove the mudguards permanently.
How should the fender disc be attached to the left fork in this case?

Hi there,
Yes the concave side faces the tyre, the curve sits against the edge of the fork.
Thanks
