Good old fashioned companies such as Brooks are a glimmer of hope in our modern, extravagant, throwaway society. It is a rare pleasure indeed to be able to buy spare parts such as this. Far too often with manufactured goods, if something breaks you have to throw the whole thing away.

But then maybe Brooks saddles are a special case, because if you have to buy a complete new saddle, you are starting from scratch with stiff new leather after your old saddle is nicely broken in.

It does take a bit of craftsmanship to fit it: you need the rivets and some tools to do the job.
